Both x-rays and ultrasound can detect or confirm many internal diseases such as:

  • Soft tissue disease
  • Hip displasia
  • Chest and abdominal disease
  • Bone fractures
  • Objects in the stomach or intestine
  • Obstruction in the urinary or intestinal tract

Ultrasound enables us to see organs as they function — like a movie — as opposed to a radiograph, which is like a still photo.
